Pastinaca sativa - Wild Parsnip
Uncommon plant with a strong parsnip smell, becoming commoner as an urban weed. Erect glabrous to hairy plant to 1.5m. Leaves pinnate with 5-11 lobes each 2-5cm sometimes lobed but coarsely serrate and a cuneate or rounded base. Bracts and bracteoles 0 – 2 and they fall off early. Flowers yellow. Fruits ovoid, 5-7mm and dorsally compressed.
